NETIP-NY Dinner Club

Come join NetIP NY for the first Monthly Dinner Club on Thursday, May 17th. Back by popular demand, Dinner Club has been a great way for small group interaction, while trying out some of the great restaurants around Manhattan. This month we will be exploring Union Square together, and our dinner will have excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We will all meet for a one hour cocktail hour ahead of time so you can mingle with your fellow foodies and get to know a little more about the people with whom you will be dining.
Location: Union Square (location will be emailed to all attendees)
Time: cocktail hour at 7 pm followed by dinner at 8 pm.
Cost: $5 for members/ $10 for non-members, includes drink specials at the cocktail hour. Dinner will be paid for individually after your meal, depending on your order.

NETIP-NY Book Club- 2012 Launch Meeting

Our first Book Club meeting will be Thursday, June 7th. We will be discussing Kamala Nair's debut novel, The Girl in the Garden. Here is a preview of the book:
THE GIRL IN THE GARDEN is the redemptive journey of a young woman unsure of her engagement, who revisits in memory the events of one scorching childhood summer when her beautiful yet troubled mother spirits her away from her home to an Indian village untouched by time. In this forbidden place, behind her ancestral home, she discovers a spellbinding garden that harbors a terrifying secret.
We have a special treat for our upcoming book club! The author will be in attendance and will talk to us more about her inspiration for the novel, her path to getting published and will answer questions the audience has about the book.
Date: June 7TH, 2012 AT 7:30 PM.
Cost: $5 MEMBERS, $15 NON-NETIP MEMBERS

NETIP-NY Presents a Special Screening of Lucky by Heart and Hand for the Handicapped (HHH)
Where and When:
Saturday May 26, 2012, 12:00 pm @Tribecca Theater (54 Varick Street New York, NY 10013)
"Lucky" is a story about a young Orphan boy who is struggling to find a place for himself but no one wants to help him until he meets a kind and caring Indian women. This is in keeping with the HHH mission to help handicapped children get on their feet. The main star in this movie is Jayashree Basavaraj, a well-known actress of Kannada movies and stage. The cast of the film and the other dignitaries will be there for post-screening discussion.
